I would say, just be really careful, and have someone you trust look over the contract together with you, before you agree to anything. some of these companies are very helpful, and others,… well, they just want to take advantage of your desperate situation between the rock and hard place.

Getting out of debt isn’t a “quick fix.” Why not contact Consumer Credit Counciling Services? They’ll talk with you about your debt for FREE. Then they will work with your creditors to lower your interest rates on credit cards and other loans. You will pay them one payment a month that they will disperse among your creditors and that’s all you have to worry about. No phone calls from creditors. There is a very small fee once you get started, but watching that figure go down is sooo worth it. Trust me, I’ve been there. It requires discipline, but I am so grateful for the help they gave me.
