They ask you to fill out your social security number, and your checking account number online. Can this be trusted? I want to get a payday loan, but am I putting myself at risk for identity theft?

NO, don’t do it on line. Go the Amscot or some other place in person. There are way to many spoof sites that will use that info for other purposes. It’s not worth the risk!

Pay day loans are quick short term small loans for emergency situation. There are people who will take advantage of others when they in trouble. If the company is not well known, i would stay away. You better find a local source or currency exchange for the loan. some local banks, credit union also offer this kind a service. its safe and cheap.
