What you will want to do is call them and explain your situation and figure out a payment plan. Do this by phone (keep track of the date) and by certified letter in the mail explaining that you wish to work out a fair an equitable agreement. This way you may be able to work something out without court; because if you get taken to court without doing this they will win a judgment and garish your wages. At least this way you show good faith if it goes to court and most judges will help work something out. P.S. DON’T MISS THE COURT DATE IF THERE IS ONE!!!

You are absolutely right that they mislead and take advantage of people. I would suggest trying one of the following:
1) Ask someone you know for a loan.
2) Take an advance on a credit card (call to get your credit limit increased if necessary and possible).
3) Ask for an advance at work.
4) Try to get a loan at your bank.
5) Work out a payment plan with the payday loan company to avoid being taken to court. This is the least preferable option because you will still be paying the exorbitant interest rates.
I wish you the best of luck, and I’m sorry about the situation you’re in.

contact a place for consolidating loans, you’ll have to set up a payment plan and stick to it and they get the company off your back.

First relax, does places are rip off scheme. They are going to pressure you like crazy. I would not bother going to any such place again. You may want to discontinue your phone service as they will call like mad. Send them nothing until you have a written contract that describes a RE-PAYMENT PLAN! DO NOT GIVE them access to any account. They will clean it out. They can only win a judgment an take a lien out on your property (house) but if you don’t own one (no problem). Just make sure to pass this lesson on to your children so they don’t repeat the mistake. Relax and realize that if they are unwilling to work on a repayment plan and STOP the interest. You may never pay it off (that the Idea with places like that ). You NEED to read the contract before signing it and at least a few days and even have a lawyer or certified public account review it. They did you no favor and don’t let them pressure you into signing anything you don’t understand or are unsure of.
